MEET OUR TEAM
Katie’s Healing Hands began with owner Katie Wefel’s desire to combine her extensive healthcare background with a more personal, holistic approach to healing.
As the business grew from its beginnings inside Cedar Ridge Family Chiropractic, Katie’s Healing Hands expanded into its current Main Street location in Center Point and evolved into a full-service studio offering massage therapy, skincare, nail care, waxing, and other restorative services.
Today, the studio remains rooted in the same purpose: creating a welcoming place where healing meets luxury and every client can feel cared for, comfortable, and renewed. Self-care isn't a luxury; it's a necessity!
Katie
Massage Therapist, Owner
Prior to her career in massage therapy, Katie worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant for over 10 years after studying at South University in Savannah, Georgia. In 2020, she earned her Massage Therapy license from Carlson College of Massage Therapy in Anamosa, Iowa. She is always looking to integrate new treatments and therapies into her practice as she firmly believes that continued education is important for any great massage therapist. Katie currently teaches anatomy and physiology at Carlson College of Massage Therapy. Katie is a proud veteran, as she served our military in both South Korea and Afghanistan as an Army Medic. When she isn’t running the studio, caring for her massage therapy clients, or running her daughter to/from activities, you can likely find Katie curled up with a fantasy or horror book, exploring state parks and trails across Iowa, or spending time with her family.
As you can guess, Katie owns the place! Katie serves her clients as a massage therapist. She specializes in therapeutic massage, pregnancy massage, and scar release.

Logan
Esthetician, Nail Technician
With nearly a decade of experience, Logan works as a licensed esthetician and nail technician in both salon and spa settings. She has extensive experience in waxing services, facials for all skin types, and custom nail design to fit every personality in her chair.
Logan grew up in Guttenberg, Iowa, but moved to the Center Point area shortly after her high school graduation. After her service in the Iowa Army National Guard, she worked in the health care field for just shy of a decade, then studied esthetics and nail design. She has truly found her passion in serving others through self-care services. When Logan is not at work, she is a busy mom of four children and an avid crafter and reader. She and her husband call the small town of Urbana home (and she’s glad that Jams Coffee Bar is right on the way to the studio!).

Kit
Cosmetologist, Nail Technician
Kit also specializes in hard waxing services. Their favorite thing about waxing is being able to create a space where all body types feel welcome and comfortable to receive a service. Originally from Sioux City, Kit has called Cedar Rapids home for the last decade. Kit lives in Cedar Rapids with their partner and their two dogs. When Kit is not in the studio, you'll usually find them hanging out with the pups, playing video games, or getting lost in a good book.
Kit is a licensed cosmetologist specializing in hand-painted nail art. Since 2018, Kit has been inspired by ‘90s nostalgia, classic cartoons, and all things creepy and cute when it comes to nail design! If you love a little witchy mixed with a little sparkle, you’ll likely get along with them just fine!

Rian
Nail Technician
Rian is a nail technician based in Cedar Rapids who joined the team at Katie’s Healing Hands in summer of 2026. She has a strong passion for all things nails, beauty, and creativity. She received her nail education from Capri College, where she was able to turn her love for doing nails into a career she is passionate about. She specializes in Gel-X and nail art. She is always looking for new techniques, trends, and ways to continue improving her skills.
Beyond the studio, Rian can be found spending time with friends and family, working out, grabbing coffee, or finding something creative to work on. She has a background in marketing and loves all things social media and content creation. If Rian hasn’t met you yet, she’s excited to see you at Katie’s Healing Hands very soon!
